Therapy for Women

Online In California, Florida & Mississippi
In Person in Roseville, CA

Full Cup Wellness
is a therapy practice for women built around one simple truth: you cannot pour from an empty cup.

I’mDr. Holly Spotts, a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of Full Cup Wellness, a therapy practice in Roseville, California. For more than 20 years, I’ve helped women navigate difficult relationships and the anxiety, depression and loss of self that can happen when you’ve spent years putting everyone else first. I provide therapy throughout California, Florida and Mississippi through secure online sessions, as well as in person in Roseville.

This isn’t the fairy tale ending you expected.

It sure isn’t your happily ever after.

“Is this all there is to life?”

But then, you feel guilty for even thinking that way because, to others, your life looks pretty perfect.

You’re busy, well-educated. You have a good job and relationships. You have your life together.

At least that’s what it looks like from the outside.

The truth is… you feel like a fraud.

If someone could peek beneath the tidy surface, they’d see the messy layers of self-doubt, fear, and worry troubling your heart.

They’d see the exhaustion from constantly comparing yourself to everyone else and overextending yourself just to be enough.

You’re feeling the weight of trying to keep everyone else in your life happy.

The irony is, you’re the one who’s not happy.

You’ve tried so hard.

You get up each day and give it your all. So why do you still feel inadequate and unfulfilled?

“Why do I care what people think of me so damn bad?”

The constant swallowing of your own truth for others’ approval has left you empty.

When the emotions well up, you stuff them down with a smile, a few cookies, a glass of wine, or endless Instagram scrolling, which only makes you feel more ashamed and out of control.

Your inner critic won’t let up, and you just want some peace.

You’re at a crossroads.

Do you do what you need to do to fit in? Or do you choose authenticity?

“What does it even mean to be authentic anyway?”

Sometimes you dream about running away to a faraway land where no one knows you or wants anything from you. This feels like the only way you might be able to choose yourself.

But then the guilt follows you, and you fear you’ll never be truly free.

There’s a better way.

What would it be like to have a safe space? A judgment-free place where you’re entirely free of caring for others and your only commitment is to show up for… yourself?

Just you.

The untamed you. That real you is hard to find because she’s buried deep beneath a heap of messages you’ve been told about yourself growing up, expectations of others, and your own self-limiting beliefs.

Often, it’s in the sacred space of therapy that the truth is found.

Together, we will sift through the mess and find your truth. You’ll heal from old wounds and re-write your story. You’ll discover self-compassion and learn how to fill your own cup.

Picture this…

  • Living a life of passion, purpose, deep fulfillment, and joy…
  • Getting really clear and unashamed about who you are and what you want…
  • Taking back your power by learning how to nurture your own heart rather than depending on someone else to do it…
  • Choosing relationships where you can be your authentic self and be loved for who you truly are while setting boundaries in those that have been hurtful…
  • Letting go of the unsatisfying coping mechanisms that have left you ashamed and practicing new ones that make you feel empowered…

Hi. I’m Dr. Holly Spotts.

If you’re hurting emotionally despite being able to function highly in daily life, I see you, and you don’t have to do this alone anymore.

If your relationships make you miserable, I can guide you in managing them and help you decide whether to stay or go.

If you can’t seem to stop getting into unhealthy relationships, we can work on improving your relationship with yourself so that you can attract a healthy partner.

If an emotionally immature parent raised you, I can help you recover your true self and find the freedom to live in a way that aligns with your values.

I’m a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience and specialize in the unique challenges faced by the modern woman. I know firsthand what it’s like to carry some really heavy inner burdens. I want to help you lighten the mental load that’s holding you back from reaching your greatest potential.

Why Full Cup Wellness?

So many women have spent their lives believing everyone else’s needs should come before their own.

Over time, they become exhausted, disconnected, anxious or resentful, not because they’re broken, but because they’ve spent years abandoning themselves in order to care for everyone else.

At Full Cup Wellness, my goal isn’t just to help you cope better. It’s to help you understand why your cup has been empty so you can reconnect with yourself and begin living from a full cup.

Women come here exhausted from pouring into everyone else. They leave with a quiet confidence, deeply connected to themselves, and able to fill their own cup from the inside out. That’s the work.

What therapy at Full Cup Wellness actually looks like.

A lot of women come to me having already tried everything. The self-help books. The meditation apps. The productivity hacks. They’ve done everything right and still feel like something is wrong with them.

Here’s the thing: doing everything on the outside can’t fix something that lives on the inside. That’s where therapy comes in.

Our work together typically involves:

  • Figuring out which internal beliefs and old messages are keeping you stuck
  • Processing unresolved emotions and experiences from the past, instead of burying them
  • Rebuilding your relationship with yourself, with honesty and without the performance
  • Learning to tell the difference between what you actually want and what you’ve been told you should want
  • Developing the capacity to show up for yourself with the same dedication you bring to everyone else

It’s time to become the woman you were meant to be.

Ditch the guilt and embrace your authentic self, confident and free to live out the life you deserve.
