Whatever brought you here, there is a path forward. Together we’ll uncover what’s been keeping you stuck and help you connect with the version of yourself that feels calm, confident, and fully you. I’m Dr. Holly Spotts, a licensed clinical psychologist providing compassionate, evidenced-based therapy for women in Roseville and throughout the greater Sacramento region, as well as online therapy in California, Florida and Mississippi.
You’ve spent years showing up for everyone else. Your family. Your career. You are the one everyone counts on. Maybe along the way you learned to push through your own exhaustion, silence your own needs, or keep everyone else happy at your own expense. And over time, your own cup quietly ran dry.
The patterns that keep us stuck almost always make more sense when we understand the experiences that shaped them. Together, we’ll explore where those patterns came from, help you develop a more secure relationship with yourself, build practical skills to regulate emotions, communicate your needs with confidence, set healthy boundaries, navigate difficult relationships, and respond to life’s challenges in ways that reflect your values.
Whether you’re meeting me in the Roseville office or online from the comfort of home, the goal isn’t simply to help you feel better. It’s to help you know yourself better and build a life that feels more like your own.
About My Roseville Therapy Office

The Roseville office provides a calm, welcoming space where women can slow down, reflect and begin creating meaningful change. Conveniently located in Roseville, California, I welcome clients from Granite Bay, Rocklin, Loomis, Folsom, Lincoln, Auburn, Sacramento and surrounding communities throughout Placer and Sacramento counties.
If meeting from home or work better fits your schedule, I also offer secure online therapy throughout California, Florida, and Mississippi. Whether we meet in person or virtually, you’ll receive the same compassionate personalized care.
Finding the right therapist for you matters. You don’t have to know exactly what you need before reaching out. We’ll start with a free 20-minute consultation where you can ask questions, share what’s bringing you to therapy, and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
My Specialties
Every woman’s story is different, but these are some of the areas I commonly help women navigate:
Motherhood is one of the most identity-transforming experiences a woman can go through. Whether you’re navigating the shift in becoming a mother, struggling with postpartum challenges, balancing the emotional weight of parenting, or simply trying to hold it all together, I’ll help you find your footing again without losing yourself in the process.
Anxiety and depression for women doesn’t always look like falling apart. Sometimes it looks like holding everything together while quietly struggling on the inside. Together, we’ll understand what’s beneath your anxiety or depression, build practical skills to regulate emotions, and help you reconnect with yourself so life begins to feel lighter, calmer and more connected.
Trauma doesn’t always come from one life-changing event. Sometimes it comes from years of walking on eggshells, feeling unseen, living in survival mode, or being taught your needs don’t matter. We’ll process those experiences with compassion for your younger self and help you move forward with less impact on your daily life, relationships, and sense of self.
If you grew up with emotionally immature parents, you may still find yourself feeling responsible for your parents’ emotions, carrying guilt when you set boundaries, or keeping the peace. Together, we’ll understand where these patterns came from, learn new ways of responding to your family, and help you build a life that’s guided by your values rather than controlled by old family rules.
High-achieving women are often the last ones to ask for help. From the outside, everything looks fine. Successful career, capable, driven. But on the inside, many are quietly struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, or the pressure to keep performing just to feel like enough. If you’ve built a life that looks impressive on paper but doesn’t feel like yours on the inside, I’ll help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and build a relationship with your own life that doesn’t depend on what you accomplish next.
Our relationships have the power to bring us our greatest joy and deepest pain. Whether you’re recovering from narcissistic abuse, struggling with unhealthy relationship patterns, navigating divorce, or working through communication breakdowns, I’ll help you understand what shaped these patterns, heal from painful experiences, and build relationships that no longer require you to abandon yourself.
About Dr. Holly Spotts
The women I work with are often the ones everyone counts on. They care deeply, give of themselves generously, and work hard to hold everything together. Over time, carrying so much for so many people can leave them feeling anxious, emotionally depleted, and disconnected from themselves.
I’m Dr. Holly Spotts, a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience helping women understand where those patterns came from, build practical skills for lasting change, and create lives guided by their own values instead of everyone else’s expectations. I’ve been honored as one of the Roseville area’s Best Mental Health Professionals for five consecutive years, and it’s a privilege to do this work every day. I provide therapy online throughout California, Florida, and Mississippi, and in person in Roseville, California.

Often they are struggling with people pleasing, perfectionism, or anxiety.
What is therapy for Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents?
Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents (ACEIP) is a term coined by Dr. Lindsey Gibson. If you’ve been raised by an Emotionally Immature Person, therapy can help you make sense of how your early family experiences continue to influence your current relationships and sense of self. Together, we’ll make sense of those patterns, learn healthier ways of responding to difficult family dynamics, and help you build a life that’s guided by your values rather than old family rules.
